Process

WHAT

I focus primarily on seating from the 1930s to the 1970s—from elegant Functionalist pieces and iconic Halabala chairs to one-off items with a retro soul. Each piece carries its own aesthetics, structural logic, and cultural context, which I aim to preserve, highlight, and sensitively connect with today’s interiors.

PRICE

The final price depends on the degree of damage, the scope of the work required, and the materials chosen. Upholstery fabric is often a significant item, and its price can vary widely depending on your selection.

HOW

I carefully remove the original upholstery, disassemble and re-glue the frame as needed. Wooden parts are sanded, stained, and then finished with lacquer or shellac to give the chair depth and a distinctive character. If the construction includes a spring system, I re-tie it using traditional methods. We choose the new upholstery together so that it fits both style and function. When selecting fabric, I emphasize quality and aesthetics. I most often work with collections from Romo, which offer a wide range of patterns and colors. On request, we can choose other materials from reputable international or local manufacturers so the final upholstery perfectly matches the interior style and your personal taste.
