Type C armchair by Jindřich Halabala
A carefully restored original from the interwar period. The original bent-beech wooden armrests are stained with a water-based mahogany dye and then finished with a shellac polish in an orange tone, which enhances the wood grain and adds shine. The wooden frame has been reinforced and re-glued to preserve both strength and character. The upholstery base is a custom-made spring unit. The build combines traditional rubber webbing with modern PUR foam, creating a seat that is both comfortable and stable. The cover fabric is from the renowned English manufacturer ROMO, specifically the Habanera collection—its geometric pattern gives the chair a contemporary visual rhythm and underscores the contrast between historical design and a modern expression.
